A Look at Internet Explorer 9

There has been some talk about the problems arising from the downloading of the new Internet Explorer 9- so much so that we will simply be taking this whole blog post to discuss this problem.

The most common problem with Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) is its downloading safety. It is estimated that 1 in every 14 downloads of IE9 is malicious. The latest in information and communication technology

Information and communication technology (commonly known as ICT) is a branch of IT that has grown in popularity. ICT refers to the merging of telecommunication networks and online networks. In other words, audio-visual cables are linked to the Internet. Companies that have taken advantage of ICT include; Skype, online radio, AT&T, and Microsoft Exchange.

The popularity for ICT has grown because of its easiness and ready-capabilities with international business. “Technology firms such as Microsoft and Cisco are banking on seamless communication systems that have for long existed in the western markets to grow their revenues. Big players in corporate Kenya have already taken this path.” (Source: http://allafrica.com/stories/201105160049.html)

Managing IT Support

In every small or medium sized business it is expected that IT problems will arise. Networks need to be designed and set up, PCs and servers need fixing or repair, virus and spyware prevention software need to be installed, Intranet and database services need be set up and managed, etc.

It is estimated that 22% of IT help is outsourced. Small businesses tend to outsource IT help when they need to have the big issues dealt with. The day-to-day maintenance is taking care of in-house. Small business employees with little to no background in information technology try to manage the IT problems that come about during the work day. Few businesses employ IT experts, exaggerating the need for outsourced IT expertise. (http://www.networksolutions.com/smallbusiness/2011/05/how-are-small-and-midsized-businesses-managing-it/)

The group decides they’re hungry and want to grab some local grub and maybe a pre-game cocktail. But where do you go? There are two thoughts here: you could search the web or you could download an app, both on your Smartphone.

Mobile websites- why we crave them

Information technology has allowed consumers to have information at their fingertips, literally. 1 in 2 Americans will have a smartphone by Christmas 2011 (http://gigaom.com/2010/03/26/1-in-2-americans-will-have-a-smartphone-by-christmas-2011) because unlimited web accessibility is now essential. So why do we crave mobile websites?
